Taking the plunge
« on: November 24, 2025, 07:48:58 am »
Hi radiobuilders... Have been having a look in here for a few months and noticed a few radionecks people here..Since radnecks went down I've been thinking about joining up here but I'm not a 'builder' of radio bits but have always been fascinated by radio and how it works and have used the IF in radios to broadcast music to other radios around the house...I do want to build something soon though and it was the zozo 1w tx that really got my attention for it not being too complicated! Anyway, hello everyone..I was pirateaddict on RN!

Hi Carlos and welcome to the forum.

If you need any help or advise with any of the project builds in the technical corner there's plenty of us here ready to help. ;)
Give me a AM transmitter with things that glow any day.

Local oscilator from a radio would make a nice transmitter back years ago, I could sometimes get them to go 150 meters, ;D on a good day, making a 19khz generator getting the stereo sign to come on, spent hours trying to get stereo separation playing cds mix tapes, a neighbour would listen.
Can’t imagine anyone doing this now, people don’t have to bother, they could get an in car transmitter with a little aerial have the samething. ;)
